Please before doing this, backup or copy out important needs like contacts to avoid total file loss.
SOFT FORMAT
· Press menu on the main screen· Go to settings and press privacy
· Select reset phone
· Enter the password to confirm and your phone starts resetting to original factory settings.
HARD FORMAT
· Turn off your phone· Press and hold right and left key simultaneously
· Press and release power key
· Follow the resetting steps shown on the screen to complete hard reset
NOTE: this only work for some Sony Ericsson phones especially new models (e.g. Xperia Neo). You should also note that formatting your phone will reset it to the original factory settings which will likely cause loss of important files.
